Segmentoid Attack
Description
Move along the bottom of the arena, shoot the descending segmentoids, and survive as the pace keeps rising. Hitting a segment splits the chain and leaves a mushroom behind, while hitting the head gives more points. Extra segmentoids appear as the score and difficulty increase, and the round ends when a segmentoid reaches the danger line or crashes into the ship.
Controls
Move the ship with A/D, the left/right arrow keys, the game area, or the bottom direction buttons. Press Space, W, the up arrow, the game area, or the shoot button to fire. After Game Over, press the game area or any control button to restart.
Tips
Aim for the head when possible, because it gives more points and can slow the threat quickly. Mushrooms change the movement paths of segmentoids, so clearing or creating them can affect where the chains descend. Avoid letting the lower rows fill with obstacles, because segmentoids become dangerous as soon as they reach the red line near the bottom.
